Este martes 24 de enero la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas (AMPAS por sus siglas en inglés) dio a conocer a todos los nominados a los Premios Oscar 2017 en sus 24 categorías. La 89 edición de los Oscar se llevará a cabo el próximo 26 de febrero.
Como era de esperarse, “La La Land” fue la más mencionada. La cinta de Damien Chazelle acaba de entrar en la historia al obtener 14 nominaciones en 13 categorías, alcanzando así el récord de “All About Eve” y “Titanic”. La misma es seguida por “Arrival” y “Moonlight” con ocho; “Hacksaw Ridge”, “Lion” y “Manchester by the Sea” con seis; y “Fences” y “Hell or High Water” con cuatro. Además, como ya se va haciendo costumbre, un mexicano está nominado a una estatuilla, se trata de Rodrigo Prieto quien está nominado a mejor fotografía por “Silence”.
El presentador, productor y comediante Jimmy Kimmel es el elegido para conducir el evento más importante del séptimo arte. Los productores Michael De Luca y Jennifer Todd señalaron que es la mejor opción por “sus observaciones francas, humor irónico y el amor por todo tipo de películas”.
